The General Officer Commanding West Command (GOC WestCom) Major General Joseph Kivunzi has today visited Kirimon and Mukutani Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) in Laikipia and Samburu Counties.
Major General Kivunzi was on an official visit to, assess the ongoing construction works within the FOBs aimed at improving operations of the multi-agency effort and also inspected the ongoing Civil Military Cooperation projects intended to improve the security situation in the region.
KDF is modernizing the camps and improving the road network by opening up new roads in a multi agency framework to enhance security in the region.
Major General Kivunzi thanked the troops for their commitment towards restoring normalcy in the region and urged them to be mission ready.
He was accompanied by Army Special Operations Commander (ASOB) Brigadier Seif Rashid, with senior officers and other Officers engaged in the multi-agency operation.
