The Vice Chief of the Defence Forces Lieutenant General Francis Ogolla today launched the 2021 Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) nationwide field recruitment drive that will take place in 327 gazetted sub-counties across the all the 47 counties.
This Year’s exercise has six categories that the Kenya Defence Forces will recruit in notably: General Service Officer(GSO)Cadets, General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets(Graduate),Specialist Officer Cadets, General Duty (GD)Recruit, Tradesmen/Women and, Defence Forces Constables.
Speaking during the conference, Lt Gen Ogolla warned Kenyans to be cautious of conmen/women masquerading as KDF officers soliciting bribes and issuing fraudulent calling letters. He also added that KDF is playing it’s role in combating the vice and that twenty one (21) service personnel who were involved in recruitment malpractices are already facing court martial and the due process will be followed.
Lt Gen Ogolla encouraged the public to report any misdeeds or interference in the process to the recruiting teams or the nearest police station or through the Kenya Defence Forces hotline numbers; 0726419709 or 0120300595.
The field exercise which ends on 26th November 2021 will be supervised by the Chief Recruiting Officer, Brigadier George Okumu.
The online applications ended on 14th November 2021 and the shortlisted candidates will be informed through the Ministry of Defence website, KDF social media platforms as well as on the mainstream print media.
