Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in sector 6 based in New Airport Forward Operating Base (FOB) located near the Kismayu International Airport has opened a three week capacity building training for 10 Somali Security Force (SSF) participants drawn from New Airport Security Forces within Kismayo Area of Operation (AOR).
The training seeks to equip the participants with necessary basic concepts and skills in areas such as: Intelligence and Security, Counter IED, specific weapons systems and weapon handling, general military discipline,Tactical combat casualty care and Covid Awareness.
The training support program serves to provide the allied Somalia Security Forces in Jubaland State of Somalia with necessary skills so as to enhance capacity to undertake their role within AOR in an effective manner. It’s part of the overall effort to continue the existing & fruitful relationships within AOR and support future transition in in line with AMISOM mandate.
