A PRAYER REFLECTING ON THE WOMEN AND THEIR MILESTONES

Dear loving heavenly God, we thank you for the gift of life.

We ask of you to continue inspiring us to understand your purpose for us in our lives. For you created us in your image and likeness and bestowed upon us as your perfect creation to be stewards of your creation.

You always call upon us to do unto others as we would like them to do unto us. May you help us to exhibit your perfect love by expressing our love to one another.

We glorify your name for your continual sustenance through the challenging and difficult times that we have been through in our world today and in particular our country.

We have seen your salvation being manifested in our lives, despite the challenges that clouded us, but truly you have walked with us through the valley of death, and we have seen your rod and staff of salvation protecting us.

You have delivered us from our greatest fear and redeemed us from the power of death.

Enable us always to trust you.

As we celebrate the achievement of women in our society, it is our prayer that may you help us to stand against gender-based bias and discrimination.

Help us to challenge gender bias and stereotyping and challenge any discrimination against women.

Help us to restore your image upon our country by appreciating and empowering them as you did with the Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob as our son restored her self-image and position in society.

Receive glory and praise. We pray, Amen
