Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon. Soipan Tuya joined her counterpart from the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Hon. Salim Mvurya at Talanta Plaza for a multi-agency meeting on the ongoing construction/upgrade of various stadia ahead of this year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) and the 2027 African Cup of Nations(AFCON) championships.
The meeting brought together Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) responsible for providing the enabling infrastructure such as security, water, energy, roads and internet connectivity among other services.
The inter-disciplinary team included Defence Principal Secretary Dr. Patrick Mariro, Sports Principal Secretary Mr. Elijah Mwangi and Energy Principal Secretary Mr. Alex Wachira among other senior KDF and Government officials.
