KENYA NAVY COMMENCES SECOND SEA PHASE OF AIKEYME 2025 

On 16 April 2025 Commander Kenya Navy Fleet, Brigadier Mohammed Shemote, joined the crew of Kenya Navy Ship (KNS) JASIRI, KNS SHUPAVU and the Special Boats Unit at the Port of Dar es Salaam to mark the beginning of the second sea phase exercise of the Africa-India Key Maritime Engagement (AIKEYME) 2025.

This critical phase focuses on Kenya Navy Ships and Special Boat Units conducting dynamic seaborne evolutions in collaboration with the Indian Navy and Tanzania Navy. The exercise highlights the shared commitment to enhancing regional cooperation and ensuring maritime security.

During the exercise, Brigadier Shemote applauded the sailors for their exemplary dedication, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to service. He acknowledged their pivotal role in fostering cooperation and advancing maritime stability across the region. Encouraging the crew to continue their outstanding efforts, Brigadier Shemote emphasized how their skills contribute to strengthening ties between the navies involved.
