Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General David Tarus attended the African Land Forces Summit (ALFS) in Accra, Ghana. Ghana hosted the event from 7 to 11 April, 2025.
Co-organized by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the United States Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), ALFS brought together land force leaders from over forty African countries to discuss shared security challenges, enhance military cooperation, and strengthen partnerships across the continent.
The event also served as a critical platform to discuss shared security challenges, enhance military cooperation, and build enduring partnerships across the continent. With a focus on training, strategic collaboration, and regional security, ALFS 2025 underscores Ghana’s growing role in promoting peace and stability in Africa.
At the sidelines of the summit Lt Gen Tarus also held discussions with Maj Gen Andrew C Gainey Commanding general of US Army SETAF and Brigadier General Daniel Cederman Deputy Commanding General SETAF.
