On Thursday, 16th January 2025, the Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF), Major General Fatuma Ahmed, welcomed participants of the Senior Joint Command and Staff College (SJCSC) course to the KAF Headquarters. The delegation, led by SJCSC Commandant Major General Eric Kinuthia, was received by the Commander and other Principal Staff Officers.
The visitors were briefed at the Talanta Theatre Auditorium on KAF’s mission, vision, responsibilities, and achievements, highlighting its critical role in safeguarding Kenya’s national and regional security.
Addressing the participants, Major General Ahmed emphasized the importance of professionalism in service.
“We remain focused on professionalizing our vision and mission in concert with our sister services. We are always ready to safeguard our airspace 24/7. My team is dedicated to developing exceptional expertise within the KAF and nurturing a transformative culture defined by aviation excellence,” she said.
In his remarks, Major General Kinuthia expressed gratitude for the opportunity to visit KAF.
“We feel truly honoured and privileged to be here today. Thank you for your kind gesture. To all the participants, take note of everything you learn here and apply it in your future endeavours,” he advised.
The course participants also had the opportunity to view static displays of KAF aircraft, gaining insights into the Air Force’s operations and its contribution to national defense. The visit aimed to familiarize participants with KAF’s role and enhance their understanding of its functions, complementing their academic studies.
