MOI AIR BASE PARTICIPATES IN TREE PLANTING EXERCISE

On 23rd December 2024, Kenya Air Force soldiers from Moi Air Base (MAB) took advantage of the ongoing rains by participating in a tree planting activity at Konza City, Machakos County.

The team, led by the Acting Commanding Officer (CO) of the Flight Support Wing (FSW), Major Cosmas Daimoi, successfully planted 12,000 indigenous tree seedlings. This effort contributes to the 15 billion trees national target set by President and Commander-in-Chief, Dr. William Ruto.

Speaking during the exercise, the CO thanked the soldiers for their dedication and encouraged everyone to continue planting trees at an individual level.

“I am impressed by your attendance today, and I urge you to plant trees at your homes and former schools, among other places. By doing so, we will help achieve the 15 billion trees national target,” he said.

The event’s host, Head of Security Mr. Denis Onyango, expressed gratitude to the Kenya Air Force for their continued support.

“We deeply appreciate your time and unwavering assistance. Our sincere gratitude goes out to the entire KAF family,” he stated.

Also in attendance were MAB officers, warrant officers, and service members.
