PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE ON DEFENCE VISITS EMBAKASI AIR BASE

On 18th November 2024, the Parliamentary Committee on Defence, Intelligence, and Foreign Relations, led by Honourable Nelson Koech, visited Embakasi Air Base (EAB) to assess its operational readiness and review the progress of ongoing capital projects.

The delegation was welcomed by the Base Commander, Brigadier Stephen Kapkory, who provided a briefing covering the history of the air base, the types of air assets operated at EAB, updates on current projects, and the challenges the base faces.

Following the briefing, the committee was given a guided tour of the base facilities and establishments.
