On Wednesday, 13th November 2024, Moi Air Base (MAB) hosted a graduation ceremony for participants of the Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) Operations Course. This event, celebrating the completion of an intensive Water Survival training program, was led by Base Commander MAB, Brigadier Bernard Oluoch.
The graduates, who included members from both the Kenya Army and Kenya Air Force, demonstrated their combat and rescue skills, showcasing the expertise gained throughout the course. In his remarks, Brigadier Oluoch praised the graduates for their resilience and commitment to the demanding training. He also acknowledged the vital support provided by stakeholders and the graduates’ families.
“The CSAR team plays an important role in disaster response. I urge you to share the knowledge you have acquired with your respective units,” Brigadier Oluoch said.
The ceremony was also attended by Commander Logistics Command, Colonel Benedetta Kikech; Deputy Commandant of the Kenya Air Force Training Wing (KTW); Commanding Officer of Long Range Surveillance (LRS), Lt. Col. Samuel Maina; and other officers and service members.
