Major Aaron Nzioka, the Officer Commanding (OC) of the 25 Mechanized Infantry Battalion, led his troops in a humanitarian effort at El Wak, Wajir County. The initiative included providing medical aid, particularly to the elderly, women, and children with various medical needs. Additionally, the troops distributed water and food to the local community.
As part of the operation, Major Nzioka also engaged in Key Leadership Engagement (KLE) with leaders from the Elgolicha area, discussing security issues affecting the region. During his address, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and El Wak residents to enhance security for the local population, personnel, and installations.
Both the local leaders and residents expressed their gratitude for the ongoing support and dedication of the KDF to the community’s welfare.
