Defence Principal Secretary Dr. Patrick Mariru today, at Defence Headquarters, Nairobi, hosted the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr Samuel Njoroge and officials from the State Law Office for a consultative meeting.
The meeting aimed at cementing the already existing cordial relations between the three organs (MoD, Parliament and State Law Office) in the legislation process of defence-related matters.
Dr. Mariru thanked the officials for their support in the formulation and ratification of various laws, Acts, treaties and policies aligned to defence, in line with the Whole-of-Government-Approach (WoGA).
“We have been constantly seeking guidance from the two offices, especially the Attorney General whom we have consulted countless times and you have been kind enough to provide legal guidance on a wide range of issues. We seek to continue working together for the mutual benefit of our people,” said the PS.
Others present include our Chief of Legal Services at the Defence Headquarters Brigadier Yvonne Kerubo and the Chief of Strategic Policy and Plans Brigadier Samuel Kimani.
