Deputy Army Commander, Major General Mohamed Nur Hassan has today officiated the Defence Forces Constabularies (DFC) Pass Out Parade at the School of Infantry (SOI) in Isiolo County.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of a six months rigorous basic military training and the constabularies will henceforth be deployed to various Services, Formations and Units of the KDF.
In his address to the graduands, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of observing KDF’s core values which are professionalism, remaining apolitical, civil prerogative, patriotism and loyalty.
“The Kenya Defence Forces has a history of valour and sacrifice that the nation of Kenya is proud of. Being new members of the Force, you shall be expected to uphold the traditions and values that traditionally define the institution,” he asserted.
The event culminated in awards presentation to both instructors and recruits who had exceptionally performed in regard to discipline, specialized skills, marksmanship, sports and drills.
DFC is an auxiliary support staff Unit whose core function is to maintain security, protection and orderly regulation of all public establishments and of public property on charge to the Kenya Defence Forces.
Also present at the ceremony were SOI Commandant Brigadier Pascal Kitiro, Senior Officers, Officers, Service Members and graduands’ families.
