Moi Air Base (MAB) hosted the annual Kenya Defence Force’s (KDF) fitness challenge which saw the convergence of various personnel to test their fitness levels. The event, which was held at the MAB gymnasium comprised of 4 teams including; DOD team, Kahawa team and two teams from MAB.
The aim of the challenge was to maintain physical fitness, have good espirit de corps and to improve on good relationship amongst personnel.
The teams participated in different challenges including; floor aerobics, strong nation workout,step aerobics,tabata workout and cardio box workout. MAB yellow team carried the the day as they were crowned the winners, closely followed by DOD team. The MAB Blue team and Kahawa took the 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
Speaking at the event MAB sports Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Kahindi expressed his happiness to the participants. He urged everyone to continue improving on their fitness, noting that it is a key aspect of their lives.
“I’m really impressed with today’s activity. This should not be the end of this challenge. I am happy to see an improvement in the turn out compared to last year’s event.”
Present at the event were, Brigadier Aloka Apollo, Senior Officers, Officers and Service members.
