Moi Forces Academy has today hosted the launch of the Jubilee Insurance Live Free Competition 2023. The competition was initiated back in 2017 and has evolved into a platform that resonates with the artistry and imagination of young minds.
This year, the competition embraces a broader spectrum of visual art, including captivating mediums such as mosaic and collage. To extend its reach and impact, Jubilee Insurance has partnered with Kenya Defence Forces’ (KDF) schools, propelling the competition into public schools across Kenya. This inclusion also introduces a dedicated category for children with special needs. By inviting primary school children within the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) in Kenya, ranging from grade 1 to grade 4, the competition fosters a space where creative potential encompasses both public and private schools.
At the event, Colonel Education at the Defence Headquarters, Colonel Catherine Lagat, conveyed her gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of the launch. In her address, she encouraged parents and guardians to embrace and nurture their children’s talents, emphasizing the profound impact that the Live Free art competition can have in shaping young minds and amplifying their innate creativity.
“It is important that children showcase their talents, and the Live Free art competition provides a robust platform to nurture and empower our young ones,” She added.
Also in attendance were retired senor officers, officers along with service members and senior management from Jubilee Life Insurance and DTB Bank.
