The Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF) Major General John Omenda presided over the investiture of ranks ceremony to newly promoted Senior KAF Officers at his office in KAF Headquarters, Nairobi on 29th May 2023.
The ceremony was conducted subsequent to promotions and appointments made by His Excellency Dr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces on 26 May 2023.
Maj Gen Omenda congratulated the Senior Officers on their promotions and stated that they had earned the promotion by merit and they should quickly fit into their new responsibilities. He urged them to discharge their new duties without fear or favour and lead the troops under them by example.
Also present during the ceremony were the Deputy Commander KAF Brigadier Peter Githinji, Principal Staff Officers and Senior Officers.
