The Commandant Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC-KAREN) Maj Gen E M Kinuthia led faculty members in an outdoor training of Tactical Exercise Without Troops for Senior Joint Command and Staff Course 38-2022/23 on 20 January 2023.
The exercise was aimed at testing the students’ competencies in planning, writing and conduct of training at formation level and above. The students displayed their understanding in preparation and presentation of a training programme in a contemporary world. The exercise was conducted in general area of Nachu, Kajiado County.
In his remarks, the Commandant emphasised the need to take on board all factors that affect planning and conduct of such exercises while also being realistic. He reminded them that, they would sooner than later be called upon and entrusted to plan similar exercises.
The exercise forms an important part of Course’s training as it prepares the students for higher command & staff responsibilities upon completion of the course.
