Maj Gen Joff Otieno has been appointed the new Kenya Air Force on 13 th July 2011 by the Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces His Excellency President Mwai Kibaki.
In a hand over ceremony that was held at Moi Air Base, the new Air Force Commander pledged to do his best in adhering to good leadership while in the office in order to change the face of the Kenya Air Force.
Maj Gen Otieno who joined the Armed Forces in 1981 has undertaken numerous management and leadership courses within the Armed Forces and civilian institutions both locally and abroad. Before his current appointment he was the Commandant of Defence Staff College.
